Focusing on mothers of 3- to 4-month-old children who spend more time at home with their infants, encourage earthquake preparedness by referring to Paton's (2003) ``social cognitive model of natural disaster countermeasure behavior''. We investigated the effects of four factors: disaster self-efficacy, problem coping, perceived responsibility, and availability of resources. As a result, it was suggested that education and information provision related to disaster prevention are important as resources to promote preparation, and that it is necessary to strengthen awareness of regional disaster prevention.
