A process to promote empathy and attachment among guardians towards an autistic child and the mother in a preschool

To our knowledge, this is the first report that demonstrates a process to foster an empathic attitude among classmates’ guardians towards a handicapped child and its parent. The guardians’　attitude led to a class management to create an appropriate relationship between the handicapped child and typically developing classmates.
