This study examined whether a combination of light exposure and exercise additively enhances phase advance of circadian rhythm in 18 healthy young adult male and female subjects with no exercise habits. Results showed that melatonin secretion onset time (DLMO) was significantly earlier in the "light exposure" condition, in which the subjects were exposed to sunlight outdoors, compared to the "control" condition, in which they spent time as usual.
