We investigate the role of glutamatergic systems in the MnPO in the water intake induced by ANG II into the SFO in rats. Microdialysis techniques were utilized. These medicine, ANG II, NMDA, MK-801, QA, CNQX were used. Data further provide evidence that the ANG II-induced dipsogenic response may be mediated through both NMDA and non-NMDA glutamatergic receptor mechanisms in the MnPO.
