Summary

Researchers have proposed methods for detecting level differences on road surfaces using sensors as driving aids for wheelchairs. This paper evaluates the effectiveness of a method introduced in previous studies, which involves mounting one or two 2D LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) sensors at the front of the wheelchair and rotating the laser vertically.
