When children take powders such as dry syrups, the dosage varies depending on age, weight, and symptoms, so they must be divided and packaged. In such cases, frequently used preparations may be prepared in advance according to dosage, and the properties of the packaged dry syrup may change depending on the temperature, humidity, and number of days of storage. In this study, we investigated the changes in weight and moisture content using a dry syrup preparation of ambroxol hydrochloride, which is frequently used in the pediatric field, and found that when preparing the preparation, consideration should be given to storage conditions, dispensing amount, and other factors, and that a desiccant and a storage bag such as Unipack should be used for storage.
