In 1920, just before judo osteopathy was legally approved, the Ministry of Home Affairs Health Bureau conducted a fact-finding survey on Judo-therapy(bone-setting). In the fact-finding survey, Usaburo‐Takeoka, a traditional bone-setting and Tenjin‐Shinyo Jiu-Jitsu artist, played a major role in promoting official recognition. "Takeoka-school sekkotu-jutu" (1921) is a historical source that shows Takeoka's treatment techniques. In this presentation, we analyzed the book and considered the effect of Takeoka's osteopathic technique on Judo Therapy at present day.
