Acupuncture treatment is performed not only in the treatment room, where hygiene control is easy, but also outside the treatment room in disaster volunteer, sports sites, and other situations where normal hand hygiene operations are difficult. Therefore, we will clarify hand hygiene procedures that are as effective as standard hand hygiene procedures and that can be performed outside the treatment room. The combination of wet wipe wiping and rubbing may be an alternative to hand washing with running water and rubbing as a hand hygiene operation outside the treatment room, because the degree of bacterial contamination of the hands is lower when wet wipes are combined with rubbing.
