Joint Author

Summary

2000 dog owners (988 males and 1012 females, included 284 elderly) throughout Japan answered. 60% of them walked their dog daily in the community (pathway 80.6%, park 34.6%). Dog owners thought that "Dog walking" created the opportunity to see friends, and build relationships with a variety of people, and they felt they had a better chance to know their own community of their own.
