Summary

t has been reported that cytokines such as serum and muscle tissue IL-1 and IL-6 are detected during muscle injury. It has been reported that cytokines such as IL-1 and IL-6 are detected in serum and muscle tissue during muscle injury.
However, the changes in these cytokines over time in muscle damage have not been clarified. In this study, we induced muscle damage in the first dorsal interosseous muscle, collected blood samples over time, and measured the IL-6 concentration. The results showed that IL-6 levels were highest 12 hours after exercise.
The IL-6 level was highest after 12 hours of exercise. IL-6 appeared earlier than muscle pain, suggesting that it may be involved in the induction of inflammation.
