The paper deals with the influence of the constitutional GHQ-draft on the Japanese Constitution. The best way to study the influence is to cmpare the Japanese Constitution with the GHQ-draft. And especially the sentence "…never again shall we be visited with the horrors of war through the action of goverment…" was very carefully investigated, for it is rather hard for the Japanese to read it deeply. It is startling how much the Japanese Constitution is based on the GHQ-draft.
In future, we shall ordain and establish our constitution, that is to say, the constitution of the Japanese people, by the Japanese people, for the Japanese people.
