With the drainage cannula fixed in the IVC and circulatory support initiated, arterial oxygen saturation (SpO2) was measured at 5, 10, and 20 minutes. Regardless of the infusion site, an auxiliary flow rate of 3 L/min or higher was required to maintain SpO2 above 80% with a safety margin. It was also orally presented that blood pressure could not be maintained in some cases with an auxiliary flow rate of 1 L/min.
