THE NECESSARY POINT THAT WE SHOULD BE CAREFUL FOR EFFECTIVE SINGLE-CANNULATION OF VENOVENOUS ECMO
Conference Presentation(name) |

The 2nd Meeting of The Federation of Asian Perfusion Societies (FAPS) (Kobe, Hyogo, Japan)
We investigated the bypass flow required for gas exchange using the Avalon double-lumen catheter for circulatory support for respiratory assistance in adult goats (60.1 ± 0.5 kg, n=5). Adequate oxygenation was achieved with bypass flow rates of 2 L/min or more. However, post-mortem examination revealed hematoma formation due to the jet flow of the infused blood. Histological examination showed that some hematomas extended beyond the intima into the muscular layer. I was responsible for the study design, data collection and analysis, and abstract and slide preparation.
