A carbon dioxide ventilatory response test was performed on healthy adults while maintaining four different end-tidal oxygen partial pressures, namely hyperoxia of 300mmHg or more, normal oxygen of 100mmHg, and hypoxia of 80 and 60mmHg, to examine the relationship between ventilation and respiratory sensation.
