Summary

We investigated the brain area responsible for the enhanced avoidance behavior in response to odors in rats exposed to bisphenol A. We targeted the medial amygdala, which is one of the olfactory pathways and also expresses estrogen receptors, to examine the effect of bisphenol A. We used extracellular recording to examine the activity of odor-responsive neurons in response to predator odors.
