Kazuya Hasegawa, Yuya Yamaguchi. Using a rat model, we found that acute kidney injury is induced by rapid weight loss (simultaneous restriction of water and food) implemented in weight class competitions, and identified volatile low molecular weight compounds whose blood concentrations are increased by rapid weight loss from non-targeted analysis by GC-GC TOFMS.
