Summary

This case study was carried out with the purpose of analyzing the efficacy of explicit connected speech training through reading aloud practice on overall English comprehensibility. Using a pre-test and post-test experimental design, test score variation was analyzed after multiple treatment sessions in explicit connected speech training were carried out. The results of comprehensibility judgement scores carried out by qualified English-native raters showed a significant improvement from the pre-test compared to the post-test.
