Taking the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games as an opportunity, Nippon Sport Science University (hereafter referred to as "Nippon Sport Science University") is working to build a support system for athletes. This project is called the Nippon Sport Science University Athlete Support System (hereafter referred to as "NASS"), and began providing medical and scientific support to athletes on a trial basis in 2015, before being fully launched in 2016. In this article, we report on the overview of NASS, as well as the regular psychological seminars and individual support provided by the psychological support department.
