Summary

G2A is a G protein-coupled receptor that is predominantly expressed in lymphoid tissues and macrophages. It causes cell cycle arrest and is induced by DNA damage stimulation and oxidative stress. We reported that G2A functions as a receptor for 9-HODE and other oxidized free fatty acids. G2A may have a biological role in a variety of pathological conditions, including atherosclerosis.
