We reported the systemic distribution of LTA4 hydrolase activity, a LTB4-producing enzyme, in guinea pigs. We revealed that it is present in all systemic organs, not only in leukocytes. This indicates that LTB4 production is possible in each organ when LTA4 is supplied, and new findings on leukocyte migration during inflammation have been added.
