Leukotrienes (LTs) are major mediators of inflammation and allergy. LTC4, formed by adding glutathione to LTA4, is important as an asthma mediator. In this paper, we explained the tissue distribution and enzymatic properties of LTC4 synthase, and introduced a new molecular species Yn1-Yn1 of cytoplasmic GST.
