Summary

This study first observed a correlation between the spike jump (SPJ), specific to volleyball, and other jumps among 202 top-level male volleyball players from domestic leagues .Results indicated that, on the one hand, the abilities of both counter movement jump (CMJ) and rebound jump (RJ) are required in SPJ, with RJ showing more prominence among the elite players.
