We found that β-d-glucosyl-O-l-tyrosine essentially failed to stimulate mgACBP transcription. Since we have detected mgACBP transcriptional activation capabilities in a hemolymph fraction other than the β-d-glucosyl-O-l-tyrosine fraction, it is likely that up-regulation of this protein in the PG is under the control of another humoral factor.
