Administration of o-Aβ to the buccal gangliaby (Aplysia kurodai ) surgical treatment reduced food intake and on a specific inhibitory synaptic response in jaw-closing motor neurons produced by cholinergic buccal multi-action neurons. These results suggest that o-Aβ may impair the cholinergic synapses, in Aplysia, which is consistent with the cholinergic hypothesis for AD.
