Summary

High-heeled shoes are popular among young ladies. However they causes imbalance posture and becomes the courses of falls, injuries or some orthopedic problems. The heel height of ladies’ shoes was assessed from the viewpoints of balance and walking. We evaluated the sneakers and the ladies’ shoes (with 3, 5, 7, and 10 cm-heels). 5cm-heel shoes were maximum permissible level for daily living from the view point of dynamic balance and walking.
