This study reported on the practice of psychological support for 44 members of the Nippon Sport Science University canoe club. It showed the changes in psychological competitive ability scores before and after the psychology seminar. In male athletes, the three scales of perseverance, motivation for self-realization, and predictability, as well as the total score, showed significantly higher values ​​from before to after the psychology seminar. In female athletes, no significant changes in scores were observed from before to after the psychology seminar, but an improvement in the average score was observed. In addition, proposals were made regarding the organization and operation methods of the psychological support system from 2015 onwards.
