Five adult goats (60.5 ± 1.1 kg) under general anesthesia underwent placement of a 23Fr or 27Fr Avalon Elite DLC (MAQUET) to establish respiratory support. Blood flow pressures (inflow and outflow) at 1–3 L/min and PaO2 over 20 minutes with the ventilator off were investigated.
